School Day

Every day, the pupils of St. Matthew’s are greeted at the gates by uplifting music and a smile! From that point onwards, they are set for an action-packed and productive day of learning and fun.

Our compulsory school hours consist of a weekly total of 32.5 hours. Please visit our wrap around care page for information on care available before and after school. 

  • 8:20am – The school gates open
  • 8:30am – School day begins
  • 8:40am – Registration closes
  • 8:40am – 10:00am Lesson 1
  • 10:00am – 10:20am Break time
  • 10:20am – 12:00pm Lessons 2 and 3
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm Lunch time
  • 1:00pm – 3:00pm Lessons 3 and 4
  • 3:00pm Collection (2:45pm for Nursery)

Please ensure that your child is on time every day.  The school gates will close at 8:40am each morning.  

Pupils who arrive after 8:30am will be registered as ‘late before register closes’.

Pupils who arrive after 9:00am will be registered as ‘late after register closed’.
